BIO
Born in 1981 in Senglea, Malta, Antonella Deletić is a contemporary expressionist artist currently based in Zeewolde, the Netherlands. Working with sand mixtures, acrylic paint, charcoal, ink, and oil pastel on linen and cotton canvas, she is best known for her minimal abstract works. Deletic’s art is recognized for its textured surfaces and colour shaped compositions, which bring together diverse media to create striking visual narratives.
Antonella’s work is deeply influenced by her Buddhist practice, which focuses on themes of determination, mindfulness, and human revolution. Inspired by her daily practice and the nature that surrounds her, her pieces tell compelling stories of overcoming obstacles and achieving inner harmony. Characterized by layered textures natural colour palettes and dynamic tones, her art reflects a journey of transformation and self-discovery. Her important projects include Una Parte Del Viaggio (2022), a milestone where she began expressing personal experiences through her art, and Breaking Karma (2024), a ten-piece collection where the colour palette itself narrates the power of transforming one’s karma into a mission of hope and purpose.
Antonella Deletić is preparing for her debut solo exhibition, set to take place in Zeewolde, the Netherlands. Her pieces are held in private collections across Europe, reflecting her growing influence on the contemporary art scene. From 2022 to 2025, she has participated in group exhibitions and local art fairs, continuously seeking new opportunities to share her work and contribute to the world of abstract expressionism.
